Overview:
- Needs to be able to do both UX and UI (visual) design. Can skew more toward visual but needs UX background.
- Needs web product design background (vs. print or marketing campaign background).
- Ability to perform heuristic evaluation and site audits to identify UX/UI challenges and areas of opportunity for improvement
- Knowledge of 508 and WCAG accessibility standards
- Past experience serving as primary UX/UI designer on at least three comparable projects
- Able to produce wireframes and low-fidelity and high-fidelity visual design mock-ups
- Recent training or strong familiarity with latest UX/UI design trends, standards, and best practices
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in UX/UI design, graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven work experience as a UX/UI Designer or a similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of relevant design projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, InVision, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design approaches.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for aesthetics, color, and typography.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design concepts and solutions.
