About the Role
Join our extraordinary sales team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at the forefront of expanding our reach to SaaS founders and directly contributing to the growth of SaaS Academy.
We’re not just seeking an experienced candidate; we’re seeking the top 1% - individuals who are exceptionally driven, demonstrate a stellar record in outbound business development, and possess an unyielding dedication to exceeding expectations. This is not your typical SDR position - it’s an opportunity to contribute to a high-performance team, a chance to transform the SaaS landscape, and a platform to display your extraordinary abilities in the fast-paced world of SaaS.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with entrepreneurs and high-level executives, ask insightful discovery questions, present our programs, and confidently address any objections. The primary objective of this role is to schedule qualified Growth Sessions (demos) for our Account Executive team to close new business deals.
Here are the three primary components of the ideal candidate for the SDR role:
Ideal Candidate
- Outperform Outbound Call Expectations: Within two weeks, you will be able to consistently exceed 100 outbound dials per day. You will have a strong phone presence and understand the importance of being efficient with your prospective client’s time. This position involves working with warm leads in our CRM. The role requires a self-starter with a proven track record of success in outbound sales and the ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Source Qualified Growth Sessions: Within one month, you will set a minimum of 10 Growth Sessions with the ongoing expectation of setting three per day by month two. By carefully identifying and qualifying leads, you will ensure that only the highest potential leads reach our account executives, resulting in increased revenue outcomes. You will need to effectively communicate with potential clients, understand their needs and pain points, handle objections, and overcome barriers to schedule appointments and properly set expectations with qualified clients. Additionally, you will demonstrate proficiency and accuracy with your reporting sales pipeline data in HubSpot.
- Collaborate in a high-performing Sales Team: As our next high-achieving SDR, you will consistently display a growth mindset, actively seeking feedback to improve your performance. This includes engaging in 1:1 and team meetings, sharing successful strategies and tactics, attending coaching sessions with a growth mindset, and collaborating cross-functionally with other departments (Customer Success, Support, and Marketing). As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to driving the growth of our business, resulting in an increase in both the close rate and sales velocity.
Experience and Qualifications
Required:
- 6+ months of inbound/outbound B2B sales development experience
- 6+ months of experience with high-volume cold calling (100+ dials per day)
- Applicants who live in the US or Canada
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Proficiency and competence in working out of a CRM
Preferred:
- Experience in a startup/SaaS company
- Experience working with a team across multiple disciplines
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
- Experience with our tech stack: HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom, Asana, Google Workspace, Aircall, Gong
