Requirements

• Lead software projects from design to implementation, ensuring successful delivery and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Translate complex product and business requirements into well-structured projects, demonstrating expertise in designing software components.
• Contribute to technical strategy, making informed decisions aligned with company objectives and customer needs.
• Navigate and make critical adjustments to a large codebase, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong communication skills and building positive relationships.
• Actively participate in the interview process, ensuring a thorough evaluation of candidates and contributing to a positive candidate experience.

Core Technologies:

• JavaScript: Command over JavaScript, including familiarity with ES6/ES2015 or later.
• HTML5 & CSS3: Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 to create responsive and adaptive user interfaces.
• RESTful Services/APIs: Experience with consuming RESTful services and APIs, seamlessly integrating them into the front end.
• Next.js: Familiarity with Next.js for server-side rendering and generating static websites with React.
• Cloud Familiarity: Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience writing production Rails applications.
• Proficiency in Ruby 2.x and Rails 6.x.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, as well as background/async processing solutions (such as Sidekiq).
• Familiarity with Rails application servers (such as Passenger) and cloud computing platforms (such as AWS, GCS).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and exposure to NoSQL technologies such as Redis and ElasticSearch.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Occasional irregular work hours 
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc. 
• Extended time viewing a computer monitor
• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
