As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Web and Mobile Applications at Ivim Health you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our applications meet high standards of functionality, usability, and performance across various devices and platforms.

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Web and Mobile Applications 

Department: Engineering and IT 

Reports To: VP of Engineering  

Compensation: $80,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Test Planning and Strategy: 
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications based on functional requirements and user stories. 
  • Define test strategies for different components of the applications, including frontend UI, backend APIs, and integrations with third-party services. 
  • Test Execution: 
  • Conduct manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of web and mobile applications. 
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and updates do not introduce regressions or break existing functionality. 
  • Identify and prioritize test cases for automation and collaborate with the development team to implement automated tests using testing frameworks and tools. 
  • Defect Management: 
  • Document defects and issues discovered during testing, including steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and severity level. 
  • Work closely with developers to investigate and troubleshoot defects, providing detailed information to facilitate resolution and prevent recurrence. 
  • Compatibility Testing: 
  • Conduct compatibility testing to ensure that web and mobile applications function correctly across different browsers, devices, and operating systems. 
  • Test mobile applications on various devices and screen sizes to verify responsive design and platform-specific behavior. 
  • Performance Testing: 
  • Design and execute performance tests to assess the responsiveness, scalability, and stability of web and mobile applications under different load conditions. 
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and work with the development team to optimize application performance and resource utilization. 
  • Documentation and Reporting: 
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and test coverage to track the progress of testing activities and facilitate knowledge sharing. 
  • Generate test reports and metrics to communicate the status of quality assurance activities, including defects found, test coverage, and release readiness. 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, with a focus on web and mobile applications. 
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks. 
  • Proficiency in testing web applications using browser developer tools and debugging techniques. 
  • Familiarity with mobile app testing tools and platforms. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear and concise feedback. 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
