We are growing our team and we have a lot of exciting work ahead of us. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to ensuring software quality. This role will focus approximately 80% of the time on manual testing and 20% test automation in front end test frameworks such as Cypress.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop, document, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and usability for our diverse user base.
  • Perform test automation tasks, including creating and maintaining automated test scripts using Cypress.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of the QA process.
  • Assist in the creation of QA documentation to communicate process and testing protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in QA and test automation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a remote team.
  • Experience with JavaScript/front end testing frameworks such as Cypress. 
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar (we use Jira).

Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
  • Experience using automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools.


Salary

$70,000 - $140,000 per year
