We are growing our team and we have a lot of exciting work ahead of us. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to ensuring software quality. This role will focus approximately 80% of the time on manual testing and 20% test automation in front end test frameworks such as Cypress.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute comprehensive manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Develop, document, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira.
Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and usability for our diverse user base.
Perform test automation tasks, including creating and maintaining automated test scripts using Cypress.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of the QA process.
Assist in the creation of QA documentation to communicate process and testing protocols.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in QA and test automation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a remote team.
Experience with JavaScript/front end testing frameworks such as Cypress.
Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar (we use Jira).

Bonus Points For:

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
Experience using automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium.
Experience with performance and load testing tools.

Salary

$70,000 - $140,000 per year
