Product Manager, Marketplace

We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to join our growing product org. You will play a key role in taking our Marketplace to the next level – contributing to our product strategy, driving the roadmap, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop a remarkable seller experience and brand-new Marketplace channels. You must have a strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, user and vendor behavior, and technological trends.

You will be responsible for guiding, launching, scaling, and continuously improving upon our Marketplace solution. You will form relationships with vendors and customers to prioritize development to optimize ROI and drive adoption. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) and champion our Maintenance Shop Integration solution (MSI) and new Marketplace channels across cross-functional teams to move initiatives forward.

You’ll report to the General Manager of Marketplace and collaborate closely with multiple teams to make Fleetio the clear choice for maintenance management and future marketplace channels for our customers and, ultimately, help drive Fleetio Marketplace’s long-term growth and stakeholder satisfaction. What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for your marketplace channels, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research, analyze user feedback, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, and other teams to prioritize features, define requirements, and drive product development cycles to execute your roadmap.
  • Lead the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timeline delivery on high-quality features and improvements.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of new features, iterating based on data-driven insights.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate updates on the product roadmap and progress.
  • Monitor and analyze marketplace metrics, identifying areas of optimization and implementing strategies to improve adoption, user engagement, and retention.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure product quality and optimal user experience before launch.
  • Plan, orchestrate and execute go-to-market activities, including product documentation, onboarding/activation plan, and operational support tools.

  • Work remotely (within the United States) or at our Birmingham, AL HQ. We strive to promote a strong remote working culture and have done so since the beginning.


  • 3-5 years in product management working on data and insights products in modern B2B technology-driven SaaS and/or marketplaces.
  • BA/BS/MS in Business, Computer Science, Design, or related equivalent field/experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, user behavior, and familiarity with platform technologies and API integrations.
  • Passion for the business success of customers and vendors, shortening time to value, and the craft of PM.
  • A committed desire to understand our users and rally around the problems we’re solving.
  • Effective at integrating feedback, facts, and needs into product recommendations, decisions, strategies, and launch execution across the product life cycle.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders – You influence and inspire others who love working with you.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit – you are self-driven, accountable, and comfortable presenting to customers, prospects, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Egoless self-starter with great product sense, curiosity, attention to detail, and a growth mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed product decisions.

  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira) is preferred.

Considered a plus

  • Experience in fleet / automotive / transportation software, vertical SaaS, or related space.
  • Experience in a range of segments and product life cycle stages, including optimizing mature products and building zero-to-one.
  • Experience creating a marketplace environment that brings buyers and sellers together for the exchange of goods or services.
