FileCloud is looking for a creative, passionate and entrepreneurial Product Manager to facilitate scalable and repeatable product management processes to ensure that our hyper-secure enterprise file sharing products offer optimal value for customers and accelerate contribution to overall company success.

We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.  


The Role 

In this role, you will focus on the “why” of product, gain a deep understanding of customers and the market and work on maximizing product value creation. Your focus will center on making sure the right features are built with appropriate scope and that relevant data analysis is incorporated into decision making. 

Working as part of the Product Management Team, you will drive the vision execution for your product and feature areas, run market tests and maintain regular engagement with sales and marketing to validate what’s working and what’s not in the field. You will additionally work on maintaining and updating analysis data for direct competition and adjacencies in our market. The optimal candidate will have a knack for identifying gaps in the market and an innovative approach to discovering ways to fill them with existing product building blocks. We’re looking for someone that loves delighting customers and makes time to step back from tactics to consider how what they’re doing on the day-to-day contributes to the larger customer and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Works with development and QA teams primarily on existing products to create new value and find ways to capture more market share or expand appeal to additional personas 
  • Synthesizes data to feed into real-time product and development decisions at a sprint, release and backlog level 
  • Regularly speaks with customers, sales, customer support and marketing to ensure an up-to-date understanding of market dynamics 
  • Serves as the “go-to” resource for all items related to area of product responsibility by engineering as well as teams outside of the Product and Development organization 
  • Works closely with UX to ensure high usability standards are met in all aspects of product and feature creation 
  • Identifies market problems and validates product requirements 
  • Develops, negotiates and drives the roadmap and release plan for assigned area 
  • Works with Marketing & Sales on effective GTM plans to maximize product success 
  • Tracks key metrics and KPIs and devises approaches to positively impact those relevant to area of ownership 
  • Serves as a key resource for others at various seniority levels 
  • Leads various product and market projects and initiatives 


Ideal Candidate 

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial approach to solving problems and filling gaps 
  • Functional product management experience for enterprise IT solutions 
  • Experience with launching major products features and introducing products to new markets 
  • General understanding of project management best practices 
  • Understanding and ability to practically apply agile software development practices 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience  
  • Ability to explain complex information and concepts in clear ways 
  • Exemplary writing, speaking and presentation skills 
  • Skilled at gaining agreement across cross-functional teams 
  • Experience in building or significantly contributing to product GTM strategies 
  • Knowledge of modern file storage technologies and approaches 
  • Familiarity with data protection and governance approaches  
  • Basic understanding of emerging trends impacting enterprise IT (e.g. cloud, MSA, AI) 
  • Strong sense of accountability
  • Will reside in Central / East Coast USA or Western Europe (preferably)
