Team
The Product Experience Team is dedicated to optimizing every aspect of the external developer’s interaction with our products, aligning closely with RunPod’s vision to be the compute backbone for AI/ML workloads at scale. We take a holistic approach to product interface and user interaction—ensuring that everything from the visual design to the documentation is exceptional, intuitive, and tightly aligned with user needs. We’re currently a team of two technical writers led by our Founding Engineer—we all bring different perspectives to the team, and we’re looking for a UX partner who can add their own perspective and tell us all the things we don’t know.
We think you’ll need
- 5-8+ years of experience. We’re looking for the ability to disagree with senior leaders and be confident in your rationale.
- Strong storytelling, collaboration, and connection-building skills. This is the first UX role at RunPod, so you’ll be responsible for setting your future teammates up for success in cross-functional interactions.
- Experience designing for user trust.
- Demonstrated ability to make core product decisions, whether at an early-stage startup or part of a larger enterprise.
- Willingness to get hands-on with wireframing and UI mockups alongside strategic thinking.
- Comfort with highly technical material. We’d love to see examples of when you’ve simplified complex data or information in any industry. We’re looking for the ability to make complicated processes accessible and understand that AI/ML experience is not a prerequisite for doing your job well.
- Excitement about the challenges of the AI/ML space. You’ll be working on products that have little precedent to pull from.
- Bonus points for experience with non-visual interfaces, such as CLIs and APIs, or experience with accessibility.
