The role
The role of an Optimizely (Episerver) Architect within Kin + Carta’s Optimizely Platform practice is a senior-level position focused on crafting top-tier solutions for clients and overseeing the ongoing technical excellence of a delivery team. This position requires a profound grasp of the software development life cycle, Optimizely’s best development practices, and the capability to apply and execute established software architecture patterns. Furthermore, you should be a proficient Optimizely developer, ready to tackle any technical challenge or task with assurance and effectiveness.
Role responsibilities
- Take ownership and actively advance specific areas of technology architecture. Propose architectural solutions and designs to project execution teams for implementation.
- Provide architectural evaluations, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
- Lead projects within the realm of architecture. Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to define technical and functional requirements, and work alongside cross-functional teams to plan, design, create, test, and release features.
- Estimate project and solution scope while defining team structures.
- Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
- Assist multiple Agile Scrum teams in planning, scoping, and crafting technical solutions for new product capabilities, all the way through to continuous delivery to production.
- Engage with business stakeholders to grasp necessary capabilities, blending business insights with technical solutions.
- Promote a shared vision, common practices, and capabilities across teams.
- Delve into detailed design, development, and unit/integration testing using suitable methodologies, technology, and tools.
- Implement robust configuration management and version control practices.
Minimum qualifications

- Expert-level knowledge of the Optimizely CMS Platform
- 8+ years of development experience on the Microsoft ASP.NET stack
- 5+ years of Optimizely CMS development experience
- Demonstrated history of success as a lead developer on various projects
- Highly skilled in Git and accustomed to standard development procedures
Preferred qualifications
- Comprehensive grasp of front-end development principles
- Proficiency in standard DevOps tools and methodologies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Effective interpersonal skills and a strong team player
- Openness to adapt to new scenarios and embrace challenges
