Salary: We have benchmarked a salary in the region of $31,000-$34,000 (pro-rata for part-time hours), dependant upon experience

We would love to hear from you if you have the criteria below: 📬

  • You are a graduate with a science or social science background; alternatively, you have 1-2 years of experience within data processing or another technical role.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience using statistical software such as SPSS or R, intermediate Excel or experience working with code (HTML or other).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to pick up on discrepancies quickly
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • An interest in technology and an affinity for investigating problems and finding solutions.
  • Ability to carry out repetitive work to a high standard.
  • Proven experience working well within a small team, either academically or in the work environment.
  • A strong communicator, who can build relationships.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • The right to live and work in the USA
  • Ability to work remotely from a quiet, dedicated home workspace.


Nice to haves:

  • Experience working within a tech environment, particularly a SaaS business.
  • B2B customer service experience.
  • Worked on a Mac and have used Slack

The day-to-day job: 👩‍💻

While the below is not an exhaustive list of your duties, it outlines the bulk of the role on a day-to-day basis.

  • Working closely within the Customer Success Team to ensure that our clients have a smooth experience using the content in our platform.
  • Investigating and fixing issues with the sources of content in our platform; this will, for example, involve looking at a web page’s HTML code, HTTP errors, using Regular Expression (RegEx) or XPath to extract and clean information from a website or email. 
  • Performing daily maintenance of these sources of content and ensuring that the percentage of errors in our system aligns with our quality objectives. 
  • Communicating larger publisher (groups of sources) issues identified during maintenance work to the rest of the team and your line manager and taking part in team efforts for an efficient resolution, as needed. 
  • Taking part or fully owning specific maintenance projects, which are done at different intervals throughout the year, to ensure that we have a rounded view of how our content is behaving and can resolve any hidden problems. 
  • There are opportunities to get involved with working on our classification system (taxonomy), documentation, client support material and other larger-scale projects, as you progress. This will depend on your interests and relevant skills.

Attention to detail and tenacity are essentials, as well as the desire to learn and to gain new skills relevant to your work. This role has fairly high screen-time, so you need to be able to concentrate and manage to block out distractions in your surroundings. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with data, using it to investigate and resolve issues. We will also be looking for the following:

❌Why may it not be for you? 

  • We are a 40 hour week, Mon-Fri and have core hours, unless stated otherwise or agreed. Being a small remote team, it’s how we operate and people are expected to be active on Slack and available within your core hours.
  • We have various meetings per week and people are expected to attend and contribute.
  • Everyone has the opportunity to query, ask questions, have new ideas and we will give you our opinion. If this makes you uncomfortable or it’s not your thing, we’re probably not a good fit.

Interview Process 💌

  • Intro Call: You will meet Sarah; Head of People & Ops first or have an intro Video task; you don’t need to prepare anything in advance. 
  • Interview: If after the intro call, we’re both excited to proceed, you will be invited to a second stage interview with Emily; Head of Revenue and another applicable Manager
  • Final Interview: Will be with Sarah and may include another applicable Manager. This may include a technical task and will be a chance to explore anything needing clarification.
