Description

Director, Product Management - E-commerce

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000

Who is Atlas Coffee?

We’re a quickly growing direct-to-consumer startup focused on helping people explore the world, one incredible cup of coffee at a time.

After water, coffee is the most important ($100bn+ market) beverage on the planet. But, the state of coffee products in 2024 is as stale as food & bev categories gets. It’s either burnt and bitter store-bought grounds or the same boring white cups at the local cafe. But, with over 50 producing countries, the world of coffee is full of so much more flavor & color than that. And, that’s the world Atlas helps people discover. The story we need your help telling.

If you’re interested in helping build the next category-defining food & bev brand, and having a lot of fun while you do it, we’d love to tell you how we’re interested in helping build your career.

What’s the role?

As Product Director at Atlas Coffee, you’ll own the digital product roadmap strategy for the core site experience and the post-purchase member experience. You’ll lead a talented cross-functional product team (one PM, one UX Designer, and three engineers), and collaborate to drive meaningful improvements across CRO, AOV, and retention while developing a top tier digital experience.

  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize the most impactful product initiatives and A/B tests across growth, monetization, and retention, with a bias toward needle-moving bets
  • Lead a cross-functional team of one PM, one UX Designer, and three engineers to execute against the prioritized roadmap with efficiency and polish
  • Build a systematic approach to leverage UX research, usability testing, surveying, and CX tooling to gather actionable product insights directly from customers
  • Develop, optimize, and manage workflows for org-wide prioritization and execution across Design and Engineering
  • Act as a chief advisor and digital product expert for new product launches, new funnels, and sitewide sales

In your first 90 days, you will…

  • Get to know Atlas customers, diving deep into existing analytics and qualitative feedback and identifying opportunities to learn more
  • Spend quality time with recent wins across all departments, developing a thorough understanding of what’s working well, what’s driving growth, and where we’re headed
  • Lead 1-2 cycles of org-wide grooming and prioritization for Engineering and Design, iterating along the way to improve cross-functional efficiency and impact
  • Partner with Design to start building a more detailed and intuitive navigation framework for the Atlas site
  • Build a product roadmap for Q3-Q4 with your fingerprints all over it

Who might you be?

We bet on potential and relevant ambition (ex. you want to be a founder) over relevant experience. Slam dunk if you have all three, but relevant experience alone isn’t our cup of joe.

  • First and foremost, a systems thinker, with demonstrable experience in creative problem solving. You seek to understand before acting.
  • A product leader with at least 1-2 years of experience managing a high performing team
  • Experienced with ecommerce tools and platforms like Recharge, Shopify, Amplitude, Google Analytics, and Klaviyo (a major plus)
  • A strong communicator - you can explain complex concepts to a 5 year old
  • Intellectually curious and honest - you have a history of learning deeply, quickly, and often, and genuinely looking for feedback loops to aid that process
  • A foodie who loves exploring the world - please, work remote somewhere cool
