We’re looking for a Director of Marketing to craft and tell Spark’s story to brokers, members, and carriers while building the foundation for a high-performing Marketing function at Spark.
Working with our CEO, you will own all aspects of Marketing with a particular focus on brand and storytelling. You will set the overall strategy and roadmap for Marketing at Spark, and you will recruit and lead a high-performing marketing team. The ideal candidate has a combination of exceptional marketing taste, a strong strategic foundation, and a bias toward action as our first full-time marketing hire and a key pillar of our go-forward go-to-market team.
What you’ll do:
- Define the overall strategy and roadmap for Marketing at Spark
- Own and develop Spark’s overall brand voice and storytelling to broker partners, carriers, members, and our broader industry
- Own the product marketing function at Spark, leading how we frame and communicate the impact our product and services have had on our broker partners and the broader industry
- Lead and ensure the consistency in the messaging, branding, content, and look-and-feel of all communications and marketing materials
- Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for Spark’s brand and content marketing
- Define and execute the strategy & roadmap for the Marketing offering Spark provides to partner brokers
- Manage Spark’s existing marketing efforts in comms, sales enablement, and demand gen while setting go-forward strategy
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of demonstrated marketing success, preferably at a high-growth B2B startup focused on SMBs
- Experience building marketing program 0 to 1 and a passion to be in an early stage environment
- Expertise with marketing software tools and CRM
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Endless creativity and an ability to bring ideas to fruition
- Experience managing internal and external marketing resources
- Passion for our mission and finding compelling ways to communicate our unique story
