You will play a critical role in optimizing the channels that matter most—content marketing, SEO, paid AdWords, and more—while also building the marketing playbook that drives sustained growth. You need to understand developers - we don’t care about the number of years of experience but are more interested in the impact that you’ve created (open to senior titles based on experience). You will own strategy + execution and will grow the team as the company scales. You must have previous experience in a well-rounded marketing role, such as demand gen, PLG, developer marketing, growth marketing, etc. We are a startup, so you must be a do-er who’s comfortable with moving quickly, adjusting priorities, and dealing with ambiguity. You will collaborate closely with our CEO and COO, who bring a blend of technical innovation and operational expertise.

Pieces.app is building long-term memory for the entire developer workstream. Our AI companion captures live context from browsers to IDEs and collaboration tools, manages snippets, and supports multiple LLMs—all while processing data locally for maximum control.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Developer Marketer to join our growing team and lead our efforts in scaling user acquisition through data-driven marketing strategies. You will play a critical role in optimizing the channels that matter most—content marketing, SEO, paid AdWords, and more—while also building the marketing playbook that drives sustained growth.


You need to understand developers - we don’t care about the number of years of experience but are more interested in the impact that you’ve created (open to senior titles based on experience). You will own strategy + execution and will grow the team as the company scales. You must have previous experience in a well-rounded marketing role, such as demand gen, PLG, developer marketing, growth marketing, etc.

You will collaborate closely with our CEO and COO, who bring a blend of technical innovation and operational expertise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive developer marketing strategy to drive user acquisition and product adoption.
  • Own and optimize key marketing channels, including SEO, paid ads (AdWords, LinkedIn, etc.), content marketing, and social media.
  • Analyze campaign performance, adjust strategies as necessary, and build a data-driven playbook for repeatable growth.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality, targeted blog posts, case studies, and other educational resources that resonate with the developer community.
  • Conduct keyword research, backlink strategies, and on-page optimization to improve organic search visibility.
  • Manage and allocate budgets for paid campaigns, continuously optimizing for ROI.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developer marketing tactics, and competitor strategies to ensure Pieces.app remains competitive in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the developer community and understanding of their needs, workflows, and tools.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, content creation, and digital marketing channels.
  • Proven experience in growing a user base and driving traffic through multiple channels, including paid media and organic efforts.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across various teams, especially with product and sales.
  • AI/ML knowledge would be a bonus but not essential

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with AI, machine learning, and developer productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with Pieces, GitHub Copilot, and other developer-enhancing tools.
  • Basic understanding of web development frameworks and programming languages.
