As the lead for the Data Analytics/ AI and Machine Learning Practice at CloudHesive, you will be the driving force behind the planning, development, and implementation of our Data Analytics/AI/ML practice. This role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and team leadership. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into effective AI/ML solutions, and help build a dedicated team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build, lead, inspire, and manage a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists, providing strategic guidance and overseeing project implementation.
• Be the driving force towards building a world class AI/ML/Data Analytics team while helping with the sales of Data Analytics and AI/ML solutions and services.
• Translate business objectives and requirements into Data Analytics/AI/ML solutions, fostering the effective use of AI and ML across the organization.
• Work closely with stakeholders to create, design, and implement AI/ML models and algorithms that solve complex business problems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies in AI and ML, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
• Conduct regular reviews of the AI/ML processes, tools, and frameworks used in the company, and propose improvements as needed.
• Ensure robust validation practices for model quality and monitor model performance, providing technical support and troubleshooting where required.
• Build relationships with partners, vendors, and other external parties as necessary to ensure the success of Data Analytics/AI/ML initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PhD will be considered a plus.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the Data Analytics/AI/ML space, with a track record of managing successful teams and delivering high-impact projects.
• Profound understanding of AI and ML algorithms and principles, as well as experience with data science toolkits and frameworks (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proficiency in implementing and optimizing AI/ML models in a business context.
• Understands Data Analytics and can be that subject matter expert as the team matures.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based Data Analytics and AI/ML service architectures
• Strong strategic and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex problems and ideas into easily understandable descriptions and solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Extensive experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services cloud services
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
