Job description

Are you a marketer with a natural curiosity that drives you to dive deep into everything from niche sites where your target audience gets information, to the best SEO tools, to interesting new-to-you terms in blogs or books you read in your personal life? Do you thrive collaborating with an engaged and fun team, where the sum of the group produces greater content than the individuals could produce on their own? And are you a self-starter who wants to pursue new ideas that make an impact and know that you are a highly valued contributor to the growth of the company?

If so, you may be a great fit in our organization as a Content Marketing Specialist, creating high-quality content that establishes us as a leader in focused industries. Content creation could include anything from blogs to customer feature stories to video scripts and more.

The Receptionist, located in the RiNo district in Denver, CO, is the leading cloud-based Visitor Management Solution (VMS) that automates visitor check-ins and helps reduce the chaos of the modern front office. Companies around the world trust our efficient, secure solution to create a great first impression and connect employees with their visitors. The Receptionist for iPad is in use in more than 5,000 locations in 36 countries around the globe, including companies such as PolyOne, Virgin Galactic, Gordon Food Service, GXO, ADP, TripAdvisor, and Hersheys.

What we’ll expect from you and what you’ll be doing:

  • Leveraging your understanding of on-page SEO and content creation to consistently produce content for specific industries/audiences and topics that will help our website rank for priority keywords.

  • Proactively bringing a constant flow of ideas, questions, research findings (e.g. groups, sites, podcasts, forums, etc. that specific audiences visit for relevant information, article ideas, etc.) to team meetings to collaborate on the writing you and your fellow team members are producing.

  • Researching and writing relevant and useful pieces that take our content to a new level, including two blogs monthly, another monthly piece e.g. featured business stories, articles, guides, case studies, and content for projects other team members produce (e.g. landing page, podcast, or email content, etc.).

  • Reviewing the work each team member produces and iterating as a group, and also collaborating with the rest of the organization on everything from new feature education, customer referrals, etc.

  • Leveraging your love of technology, systems and processes, and efficiency to help us continuously improve our processes and our KPIs.

  • Laughing daily.

What Makes Us Unique

As a company, we live by the principles of Employee Supremacy and our core values of FABRIC. Employee Supremacy means that we act with intention in favor of employees instead of shareholders. By doing so, we create an environment that gives customers an authentic experience and has dedicated, happy, and productive employees, which leads to healthier, more sustainable growth.

Additionally, our core values of FABRIC (Fun, Authentic, Bold, Respectful, Innovative, Collaborative) help us create a vibrant, positive culture at scale. Having these defined provides a clear blueprint for employees to live our values every day, work together to better serve our customers, and speak a common language.

Examples of how this shows up every day are:

  • We pursue intentional growth, not growth at all costs.

  • We strive for sustainable company growth by making decisions that prioritize employee needs first, followed by customers, then shareholders.

  • We know that our team members want to care for our customers, so we give them autonomy and trust to make decisions.

  • Flexible hours from a combination of work environments, including work-from-home, in addition to a premier co-working space (Industry Denver), with outstanding amenities (e.g., recreation, cafe, networking, etc.). We track accomplishments and contributions – not hours in the office or the number of vacation days taken.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience producing content in a digital marketing role (B2B SaaS start-up environment a plus)

  • Bachelor’s degree (ideally with a marketing, journalism, business, or communications emphasis) preferred, but not required.

  • Understanding of on-page SEO (e.g. ability to research keywords and topics that will help rank for those keywords), and the learning aptitude to increase technical understanding of SEO over time.

  • Ability to spend one week per quarter in our Denver metro office.

  • Reside in CO, FL, MA, MI, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, or WI

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
