DockYard is seeking a passionate creator to join our marketing team and lead our content development program as a Content Marketing Specialist.

The Role

The Content Marketing Specialist will report to the Marketing Manager and drive DockYard’s content and marketing automation efforts. Collaborating with the Business Development and Client Services teams, this role will transform our professional services into compelling messaging for our target audience.

The Content Marketing Specialist will create high-quality content, manage social media, and ensure consistency across DockYard’s content program. Responsibilities include collaboration with contractors and in-house content creators, analyzing content performance, recommending strategic focus areas, and supporting content developers editorially. Additionally, the marketing specialist will build and optimize marketing automation to enhance campaigns and manage the content calendar with the Marketing Manager. This is an opportunity for a passionate content creator and marketing automation professional to make a significant impact in digital media and professional services.


Responsibilities

  • Content
  • Create content, including blogs, Ebooks/whitepapers, video scripts, etc. as needed
  • Manage the DockYard social media channels, including creating social posts and graphics
  • Maintain quality and consistency across DockYard’s entire content program
  • Adeptly manage the content development workload across a diverse team of multidisciplinary contractors and in-house content creators
  • Analyze and report on how we’re performing on pre-established editorial goals
  • Recommend focus areas for the MarCom and Business Development departments based on company objectives, your comprehensive understanding of our audience’s needs, and current events in the world of digital product development
  • Directly generate content while also providing editorial support for other content developers
  • Plan strategic content development in concert with the Marketing Manager
  • Manage the editorial content calendar and collaborate with other disciplines within DockYard to ensure a consistent publishing schedule

  • Marketing Analytics
  • Use Plausible analytics to track and manage campaign metrics and goals
  • Regularly report on content metrics, including social media KPIs, owned & paid content performance, etc.
  • Develop and track marketing funnels and provide recommendations for where to allocate resources to most effectively meet marketing goals
  • Ideate and iterate on automation to support marketing campaign optimization


Must Haves

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in content strategy and original content development
  • You succeed in environments with clearly defined goals and a high level of autonomy
  • You are passionate about business, technology, and digital products
  • Ability to collaborate between marketing, engineering and executive teams
