As a Community UI/UX Designer, you’ll play a critical role in improving our NOWINCLUDED community platform. With a community-first mindset, you’ll lend your expertise to supporting the team’s mission of improving 1 million Black lives and communities everywhere.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative solutions for the NOWINCLUDED product direction, visuals, and experience
- Create wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate feature interactions and other design ideas to key stakeholders
- Execute all visual designs from conception to engineering hand-off
- Conduct continuous user research and evaluate user feedback to optimize the NOWINCLUDED community member experience
- Ensure user-friendly interfaces for the NOWINCLUDED platform, including responsive, accessible, and inclusive designs
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to implement new features, enhancements, and integrations according to specifications and requirements
- Stay up-to-date with emerging product technologies, UI/UX best practices, and industry trends, incorporating new tools and techniques into product designs to drive innovation and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2-4 years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio of previous work
- Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools
- Excellent visual design skills with special attention to user-system interaction
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Experience designing for diverse communities
- Previous experience with conducting user research and usability testing
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
- Solid understanding of web standards, protocols, and best practices for security, performance optimization, and SEO
- Familiarity with collaborative development workflows (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality product features for NOWINCLUDED community members
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt quickly

Salary
$65,000 - $85,000 per year
