About the role:

As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to support day-to-day operations, reconcile accounts, process invoices, and assist with financial reporting.

What will you be doing:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Provide support for audits and collaborate with auditors as needed
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPA or relevant certification (preferred but not required)

Interview process

It starts with the 20-minute Bryq assessment that we ask all employees (including our CEO) to take. It gives us valuable insight into your strengths, and also happens to be our core product offering that you’ll be working on!

After that, you will get to know if you go on to the next round of the interviewing process which includes speaking to HR and our Senior Accounting & Finance Manager. The final step is a take-home business case.
