About the Role:

We are a looking for an accountant to support myAgro’s growth to more than 350,000 farmers in the next two years. The Accountant will report to the Director of Finance and support the Senior Accountant in managing processes related to the US general ledger, accounts payable, accounting entries, support with accounts receivable, closing the books monthly and financial reporting. You will also manage the maintenance of archived accounting records and files. May also include special projects as assigned.


You Will:

  • Work in Sage Intacct and use tools such as Tipalti & Expensify.
  • Manage the procure to pay cycle, including purchase orders, invoice entry, subledger reconciliation and obtaining approvals through the process.
  • Assist vendors in onboarding in Tipalti and manage vendor billing relationships.
  • Manage staff reimbursements requests with HR in Expensify, and manage the reconciliation of Intacct with Expensify.
  • Support HR with State tax registration.
  • Review AP report and reconcile Accounts payable to the AP ledger weekly.
  • Post donors invoices to the AR ledger (Add customer, apply payments).
  • Record general journal entries and payroll journal entries, reviewing department codings
  • Perform monthly US Bank reconciliations
  • Participate in month end closings, financial reporting.
  • Help with year-end filings – 1099’s, audits, 990s.
  • Receive & review physical myAgro mail and communicate or forward to resolve.
  • Special projects as needed


You Have:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience using Sage Intacct (preferred)
  • A clear understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting
  • Team player mindset with cross cultural literacy
  • Commitment to myAgro’s mission: You are motivated by our mission and approach to helping small farmers move out of poverty
