DockMaster is looking to hire a highly motivated Account Manager to join our growing team in the US!

DockMaster, a leading provider of marine and marina management software, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager. Your primary focus will be to create long-term, trusting relationships with an assigned group of clients. You will actively manage and nurture customers and partners to drive expansion of the business and produce high client satisfaction scores for our product and performance. As a member of the Sales team, you will liaise with cross-functional teams, including Product, Accounting, Marketing, and Customer Experience, to improve the overall experience and results for our partners.

DockMaster is a financial management platform for marine and marina businesses worldwide. Customers utilize DockMaster to manage their service jobs, inventories, sales, storage agreements and customer engagement. Our business is celebrating 40 years in the marina management space, and we have a trusted enterprise solution as well as a modern web-based CRM.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in the US, working in a remote work model!

What your day will look like:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters, effectively building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Execute on monthly, quarterly and annual reviews with customers in order to grow and retain business
  • Collaborate with Product to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet targets
  • Develop, forecast, and track key account metrics, including preparing reports on account statuses
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the business and through referrals
  • Take the lead on challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Oversee billing activities (expansion) for customers and liaise with our centralized accounting and AP team

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer success, sales, or account management role
  • Proven track record of repeatedly exceeding key performance objectives
  • Experience in Account Management and Sales, ideally within the marine industry or similar sectors
  • Analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Consultative approach to solving problems and presenting solutions
  • Talent for distilling meaning from data and then presenting information clearly and concisely
  • Positive and motivated attitude with a willingness to work effectively with others
  • Expected travel for the role is approximately 10% at peak period
  • Marine industry, Boatyard administration, Marina experience is highly advantageous
  • DockMaster Software experience is highly advantageous
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
