Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing our continuous integration and deployment pipelines, optimizing infrastructure and automation processes, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to streamline our development workflows and improve overall efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Configure and maintain cloud-based environments on platforms such as Amazon AWS.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, and implement proactive measures to ensure uptime and scalability.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate manual processes and streamline deployment workflows.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and performance.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Action, Jenkins or CircleCI.
• Worked with large datasets using both SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience managing Elastic Search clusters.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and Git branching strategies.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Kibana, ELK stack, Splunk).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and best practices.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
