DemoHop is looking for a talented full stack Software Engineer to join the team!

DemoHop is an early-stage enterprise SaaS startup based in the Midwest. We’re building a groundbreaking online event platform that helps large distributed teams connect.
We’re seeking a talented full stack Software Engineer to be our first non-founding engineering hire. You’ll work closely with the founders (CEO and CTO) and play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of something from the beginning!
This role requires strong technical capability, communication skills, and creativity. Being an early-stage startup, you may have to wear many hats and will be learning constantly.
What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with the founders to build new features for the DemoHop platform.
- Oversee said features from inception to design, implementation, launch, maintenance, and beyond.
- Work across the full tech stack - from UI/UX to front-end, back-end, database, cloud, infrastructure, and integration layers.
- Architect and code highly performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Communicate technical and non-technical topics effectively.
- Be a leader as the team grows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience as a full stack software engineer.
- Strong proficiency in front-end development using technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue, etc. (TypeScript/React is preferred).
- Proficiency in server-side development using technologies such as Java/Kotlin/Spring, Python/Django, Node.js, etc. (Kotlin/Spring is preferred).
- Understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL technologies and effective database design (PostgreSQL is preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP is preferred).
- An aptitude for effective UI/UX is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
