About the role 

Social Media Content Creator 

Full time 


East Coast US (fully remote)  

Reports to the Social Media Lead who is based in London 

Summary of the role but also what our team are up to: 

We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creator with a passion for travel to work in our Brand Marketing and Social Team. You’ll be researching content, creating video content for our Meta, YouTube, TikTok channels and more, managing content calendars, writing copy and publishing across multiple social platforms. The role will be focused on driving social growth and building meaningful online content for our customers.  

You’ll have an instinct for what’s on (and off) brand, have an eye for powerful visuals, understand how data can inform a smart editorial and social strategy, and be an expert at juggling multiple projects, managing deadlines, distilling social numbers into actionable insights, and advocating for strong social content across the company. 


What will you be responsible for /helping us to do? 

Content Creation 

  • Produce and deliver engaging and unique social media campaigns to drive customer acquisition/retention on all platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok and other emerging platforms. 
  • Create engaging content to grow the brand and promote our attractions and pass proposition including sponsored posts, product launches, influencer content, evergreen and more. 
  • Copywriting and writing witty, well-thought-out captions and responses to appeal to social users. We want to be a ‘friend in the know’ and your copy and tone will bring this to life. 
  • Comfortable creating all formats of content, be it videos, infographics, imagery, the written word or other multimedia visuals 
  • Spearhead our TikTok strategy. Comfortable being the “on-screen” voice and face of the brand and appear on in video content, if needed. Capture and edit short videos for use in company Reels/TikTok. 

 Project Management and Team Support 

  •  Work alongside and support relevant team members within PR, Creative and Social to ensure consistent social media coverage and brand management across all platforms 
  • Comfortable with project management platforms to coordinate content creation and scheduling. 
  • Spend at least an hour each day on community management, responding to comments and messages by followers and customers on social media and working in tandem with the Customer Service team to ensure our customers are well taken care of  
  • Work with designers to create content and necessary graphics to support overall strategy. 
  • Analyze week-to-week and Year-on-Year analytics and demonstrate ability to make content changes and recommendations based on data.

What skills do you have that are essential in this role?


  • At least 3 years of proven experience in social media content creation covering multiple formats such as video, text, static creatives, live streaming and more. 
  • Be a great editorial writer with proven experience working in the media (digital news outlets, magazines etc) 
  • Solid experience shooting videos at specified locations and managing video shoots with photographers and videographers 
  • Deep knowledge of the social media landscape and how to use each platform to get positive business results 
  • Possesses a customer service mindset and experience in social media community management, providing quick responses to potential and existing customers on a daily basis.  
  • Experience with social tools such as Iconosquare, Hootsuite and more 
  • Has an eye for design and good content that guides the customer and their journey using Go City products 
  • Possess strong emotional intelligence with experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams globally. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be pragmatic, proactive and adapt to changing priorities with the ability to roll up one’s sleeves. 
  • Experience working with AI tools is also a plus 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proficiency of a second language is a plus 
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools for performance tracking    
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial. Someone who can problem solve fast and think on their feet 
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, trouble shoot challenges, adapt to changing priorities, and never shying away from being hands-on.

  • Plus points if you’ve worked in these industries: travel, ecommerce and media with a B2C scope.
