We’re looking for a talented, senior-level software developer to join the team building the next major version of our interactive video application, Lumiere (https://lumiere.is).
At Latitude, we explore ways to interact with and understand video content through unique audience interactions and AI. We service some of the largest media companies in the world to help them better connect their content, brands, and audiences.
Job Description
As a senior developer, you’ll join a distributed dev team to build solutions for a modern, forward-thinking tech stack.
Considerable professional experience with node.js and Elasticsearch is a must for this position. Deep familiarity with other elements of our backend stack (Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, Terraform) is a big plus. Any experience with Svelte / Sveltekit, which our team also works with, would be welcome but not the primary focus of the role.

Required Qualifications
● Minimum 5 years professional software development experience, with a focus on Node.js and TypeScript
● Expertise in Elasticsearch, including querying, aggregations, index and data management
● Experience with database design and management
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with other NoSQL databases (Firestore)
● Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform
● Experience with Terraform / infrastructure-as-code
● Familiarity with other technologies relevant to our services, such as Svelte, Firebase, and Tailwind CSS
