Location: Remote - U.S. only.

Eligibility: charity: water is fully remote and hires from all 50 U.S. states. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States without the need of company sponsorship now or in the future.



As a Marketing Copywriter for charity: water, you’ll craft copy that drives user engagement, increases conversions, and maximizes performance across a variety of channels. Reporting to the Copy Lead, you will make sure our communications are both on-brand and effective, bringing the charity: water mission and impact to life through your words.



●      Developing and executing creative copy strategies that align with charity: water’s brand voice and messaging guidelines

●      Writing persuasive and engaging copy for digital platforms, including websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, and advertising campaigns

●      Collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to develop content that meets campaign objectives and performance goals

●      Staying up-to-date with industry trends, digital marketing best practices, user feedback, and evolving strategies within the sector to bring innovative ideas to the team

●      Optimizing copy based on performance data, A/B testing results, and user data to continuously improve conversion rates and user engagement

●      Ensuring consistency and accuracy in all written content, including proofreading and editing for grammar, spelling, and clarity



●      At least 3-4 years of proven work experience as a copywriter, content writer, or similar role in a digital marketing or advertising agency

●      A diverse portfolio of copy examples including web, print, advertising, email, and social

●      A demonstrated understanding of marketing principles

●      The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment

●      Incredible attention to detail and ability to multitask

●      Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

●      A sense of humor — specifically, the ability to write sharp, quick-witted copy that can adapt to a variety of audiences

The Brand and Content team is a deeply passionate group of designers, writers, and storytellers working to build awareness about the global water crisis and inspire supporters to take action. In conjunction with other teams, they craft beautiful communications, build innovative experiences, and launch impactful campaigns to help raise money and bring clean water to people around the world. The Marketing Copywriter will be part of the Brand and Content team but will work primarily with the Marketing and Communications team.
